Stagione Estiva Don Bosco
Stagione Estiva Don Bosco (Don Bosco Summer Season) is a programme of music, theatre and dance performances that, from June to August, animates the summer evenings at Parco delle Semirurali in Bolzano’s Don Bosco neighbourhood. Featuring original productions and collaborations with leading local festivals and cultural institutions, it has become a regular feature of the city’s summer cultural calendar.
Founded in 2010, the project was conceived as a way of bringing art and culture to the city’s outer neighbourhoods through a rich and varied programme of free performances, aimed at engaging new and diverse audiences and activating less conventional urban spaces, such as the park’s amphitheatre on Via Alessandria. Through collaborations with major South Tyrolean cultural organisations — including Bolzano Danza Tanz Bozen, Jazz Festival Alto Adige and Teatro Stabile di Bolzano — Stagione Estiva Don Bosco presents forward-looking performances that explore contemporary themes, bringing national and international artists to the stage, alongside original productions created specifically for the Parco delle Semirurali audience.
Since 2024, the programme has expanded beyond Parco delle Semirurali to new locations across the Don Bosco neighbourhood, introducing a variety of artistic formats.
